What is MP Ladli Behna Awas Yojana?
Ladli Behna Awas Yojana is launched by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, the main aim of this scheme is to improve the socio-economic status of women in the state. Under this scheme, the Madhya Pradesh government will give permanent (pakka) houses to those households who, for some reason, could not benefit from the Central Government’s Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. In addition, kutcha house residents and the needy will receive permanent (pakka) houses.
The Madhya Pradesh government is already running the Ladli Behna Yojana, which is giving Rs. 1250/- to the eligible women in the state. The Ladli Behna Awas Yojana, which now goes one step further in the interest of those who are deprived by the state government, is now authorized by the cabinet on September 9, 2023. This scheme is the rebranding of the currently running Antyodaya Awas Yojana, which will now be referred to as the Ladli Behna Awas Yojana. Beneficiaries of the initiative will be those who, for whatever reason, were not eligible for the Central Government’s Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
It will include families from all castes living in temporary (katccha) houses or not owning a home. The scheme’s application period is scheduled to begin from September 17, 2023. Based on the data gathered, these application forms are scheduled to be completed by October 5, 2023. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will forward the applications to the District Panchayat CEO within a week after the application deadline. The panchayat-by-panchayat list will be checked by the District Panchayat CEO. This list will be forwarded to the government after verification. The recipient’s housing approval procedure will begin after receiving approval from the state government.

Benefits and Characteristics of Ladli Behna Awas Yojana
- Through this scheme, women entrepreneurs from economically weaker backgrounds can start their own business.
- This scheme allows women to set up their own businesses such as beauty parlors, canteens, catering services, tailoring, and more, with loans up to Rs. 3 lakh.
- It helps women pay back their loans by giving them am interest-free loan and 30% loan discount. Thus, the beneficiary will only need to repay 70% of the entire loan amount.

How To Apply For Ladli Behna Awas Yojana
You must first contact to your Gram Panchayat if you wish to apply for this scheme as no information on online applications has been released by the government yet. As per the available information, the Offline Application procedure for this scheme will start from September 17, 2023. Every applicant who meets the requirements listed for the housing scheme will have to complete the application form issued by the Gram Panchayat, fill out all the details, and submit it back to the Gram Panchayat.
The applicant will get a receipt from the Secretary or Village Employment Assistant after submission of the form. A verified copy of your Samagra ID, Aadhaar number, bank account number, employment card (if available), and Ladli Behna registration number (only for Ladli Bahana Yojana beneficiaries) must be provided with your application. Every day, a list of every application that the Gram Panchayat has received will be forwarded to the District Panchayat. Proceeding with the procedure, the Panchayat-wise list will be tested by the District Panchayat CEO. This list will be forwarded to the government after verification.
The beneficiary’s housing approval procedure will begin after receiving approval from the state government.
