What is Udyog Lagao Aay Badhao Yojana 2023?

The government of Rajasthan has launched the Udyog Lagao Aay Badhao Yojana 2023 under the Rajasthan Agro Processing, Agri-Business, and Agricultural Export Promotion Policy 2019. This scheme provides a cost of Rs. 1 crore or a subsidy of 50% of the initial cost for the establishment of various agricultural businesses, such as agro-processing industry, warehouse, cold storage, pack house, chilling milk plant, etc. Apart from the agriculture business setup of entrepreneurs, a grant of up to Rs. 50 lakh or subsidy of up to 25% of the total cost will be given.

Udyog Lagao Aay Badhao scheme included a service. If a bank loan needs to be given for agricultural purposes, the government will further provide an interest subsidy of up to Rs 1 crore, at the rate of 6% for five years. Other entrepreneurs will also be eligible for capital cost of up to Rs. 50 lakh bank loans at the rate of 5% for five years. Therefore, a total capital cost of up to Rs 1 crore is being offered for other businesses, while a provision of Rs. 2 crore is made for agri-business.

1. The benefit of this scheme will be given to the citizens of the Rajasthan state to start agriculture or other businesses.

Eligibility Criteria for Udyog Lagao Aay Badhao Yojana

1. The applicant must be a native of Rajasthan.
2. Self-help groups will also be eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme.
3. Common citizens, farmers, cooperative societies, farmer producer organizations (FPOs) of the state will be eligible to apply.

Districts In Which Subsidy Is Being Given For Setting Up Agricultural Production Processing Units:

1. Subsidy will be provided for garlic in Pratapgarh, Chittorgarh, Kota and Baran.
2. Subsidy will be provided for orange in Jhalawar and Bhilwara.
3. Subsidy will be provided by the state government for setting up processing units for mustard in Bharatpur, Alwar, Karauli, Dholpur and Sawai Madhopur.
4. Apart from this, subsidy will be distributed for pomegranate under the Udyog Lagao Aay Badhao in Barmeri and Jalore.
