How Much Subsidy Will Be Given In PM Suryghar Muft Bijli Yojana?

- Under this scheme, each family will receive a subsidy equal to 60% of the total cost of a solar plant up to 2 KW.
- A 40% subsidy will be granted for each additional one kilowatt plant installed if someone wishes to install a 3 KW plant.

How Much Electricity Can Be Produced With Solar Panel Installation?
6,37,00 MW of electricity can be produced in India if all 25 crore homes had solar panels installed on their roofs.
All homes cannot have this panel installed on their roofs but the nation’s household electricity needs can be satisfied if one-third of the homes had solar panels installed on their roofs.
In order for the nation to become self-sufficient in supplying its own domestic electricity needs, the government plans to set up solar panels on the roofs of at least one-third of its homes.
How Much Subsidy Was Received Till Now On Solar Panels?
The current system provides up to 40% subsidy for purchasing the equipment needed to install solar panels on a roof and create up to 3 kW of electricity; for electricity produced from 3 kW to 10 kW, the government provides a 20% subsidy. Local electrical distribution firms run this scheme.
However, the PM Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana now offers a 60% subsidy, which might encourage more households to install it.
