What is PM Janman Yojana?
With a budget of over Rs 24,000 crore, the Central Government launched the PM Janman Yojana on the occassion of Tribal Pride Day on November 15, 2023. How To Apply Online For PM Janman Yojana?

First Installment Of PM Janman Yojana
On January 15, 2024 the payment of the first installment of Rs. 540 crores by PM Modi via video conference. This first installment is going to help almost one lakh people. Under the PM Awas Yojana, this installment has been made available. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also spoke with thousands of people on this special occasion.
PM Janman Yojana Updates
In the Union Budget speech for 2023-24, it was announced that a Prime Minister PVTG Development Mission will be launched to enhance the Socio-economic conditions of particularly vulnerable Tribal groups. The initiative aims to provide essential amenities such as safe housing, clean drinking water, improved access to sanitation, education, health and nutrition, as well as increased road and telecommunication connectivity and sustainable livelihood opportunities to households and settlements of PVTGs. To implement this Mission, Rs 15,000 crore has been allocated for the next three years under the Development Action Plan for Scheduled Tribes (DAPST).

The massive IEC campaign was initially been launched in 100 districts, covering approximately 500 blocks and 15,000 PVTG habitations in 18 States and the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. In the second phase, it will cover the remaining districts.
This campaign is an effort aimed at providing individual rights to PVTG families and saturating settlements with basic amenities by making these tribal communities aware of their rights. During the campaign period, Aadhar Card, Community Certificate and Jan Dhan Account will be provided as these are the basic requirements for issuing other schemes like Ayushman Card, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Kisan Credit Card etc.
This initiative will ensure to cover every PVTG family who is unreachable due to distance, road and lack of digital connectivity and will provide facilities at their doorstep. Places like Haat Bazaar, CSC, Gram Panchayat, Anganwadi, Multipurpose Centre, Forest Development Centre, and Agricultural Science Center will be used to organize these programs.
