What is NACO Internship Programme 2024?

NACO also known as National AIDS Control Organization has initiated the NACO Internship Programme for the students with a vision to make them familiar and understand the various dimensions of policy making & implementation of the National AIDS Control Programme. This internship program will serve as an exposure for the interns regarding functioning of National Health Program, which will be mutually beneficial for the organization as well as students. NACO Internship Programme is Open To Students who are pursuing undergraduate, post graduate, M.Phil and PhD courses in various disciplines.

NOTE: The internship programme is not a job or any such assurance for a job at NACO or any other Ministry/ Department of Government of India.

Key Information Related To NACO Internship Programme 2024

1. Enrollment for internship will be kept open throughout the year.
2. The number of interns can vary depending on the submitted applications and requirements of NACO but the number of interns will not be more than 10.
3. The duration of the internship would be decided by the NACO Internship Committee. It may vary from minimum 2 months to maximum 6 months.
4. Necessary office logistics supports i.e., work space, stationery will be provided to the interns. They will need to have their own laptop with internet connectivity. No other expenses like travel costs etc. will be acceptable as well as no claims will be entertained.
5. Rs. 8,000 per month stipend will be payable to the interns on the successful completion of Internship, submission and acceptance of their internship reports by the Reporting Officer in NACO.
6. To obtain necessary certificate, daily attendance is mandatory.
7. Candidates whose internship was previously terminated or who discontinued before completing the set duration will not be paid and will not be considered in future.

Eligibility Criteria for NACO Internship Programme 2024

1. Candidates enrolled for Graduate programme under a recognised university should have completed two years.
2. Candidates enrolled in regular Post Graduation Degree/Diploma course under a recognised university.
3. Desirable/Priority Candidates are those who are from institutions having institutional collaboration with NACO &/or SACS and with M.Phil.
4. Ph.D Candidates must have the approval of their Institution to apply for the internship.

Required Documents for NACO Internship Programme 2024

1. 2 Passport size Photographs
2. Approval letter from the Dean/ Principal of College/ University or Head of the Department
3. ID Proof (Voter ID or Aadhar or Passport)
4. Students from abroad must have approval letter from their Institutes and valid travel documents.
